The primary purpose of this course is to provide the Graston Technique® (GT) therapy trained/certified clinician with an overview of the latest materials, concepts, skills and research we currently include in our M1-Basic Training course. This course includes a review of the features and applications of the GT brand instruments and the GT therapy treatment strokes which are presented in video format. A case presentation that highlights the evaluative and clinical decision-making process and includes GT therapy, as it is integrated with appropriate therapeutic exercise, is included. Company updates including marketing and practice integration suggestions are also included. This presentation will bring a GT therapy trained clinician up to date with our current curricular offerings. GT Instructors will also be required to complete this course annually to assure they are teaching the most updated curricular materials in a consistent manner. Upon completion of this course, participants will be required to successfully complete a learning assessment.
By course completion, participants will be able to:

M1 trained clinicians who have not taken M1 or M2 within the past three years. In addition, all GT Instructors will be required to complete this course annually.
Training Fee: M1 Updates & Revisions – $59 USD
Participants will have 30 days from the date of enrollment to complete the course. If a participant fails to complete the course within 30 days of enrollment they must re-register for the course at full price. If for any reason a participant should need to cancel their enrollment, they must cancel prior to starting the course. In the event of cancellation, a refund will be credited to the participant minus a $20 administrative fee.
Mike Ploski, MS, MEd, PT, ATC, OCS
Mike works with faculty members who teach Graston Technique® therapy in the curriculum of physical therapy and athletic training. He maintains a clinical practice at rehabilitation company in Indianapolis. He received a master of science degree from the Krannert School of Physical Therapy at the University of Indianapolis in 1988. Mike has been a certified athletic trainer since 1985 and board certified in orthopedics since 1998.
Jackie Shakar, DPT, MS, PT, OCS, LAT
Jackie maintains a clinical practice in musculoskeletal physical therapy, specializing in manual therapy and lower extremity biomechanics. She has taught anatomy, kinesiology and clinical orthopedics for over 20 years. Jackie earned a transitional doctoral degree, is a licensed athletic trainer, and is board-certified by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties as a clinical specialist in orthopedic physical therapy.

As the former President & CEO of Graston Technique, LLC, Todd directed the company from 2013-2017.
Participants must successfully pass a written assessment consisting of 20 objective questions specific to the content of the course with an 80% or better. Participants must achieve a passing grade within their third attempt. Participants who fail to achieve an 80% on their third attempt will be required to retake the course at an additional cost of $59.

Graston Technique, LLC (GT-LLC) is an Approved Provider of BOC. The M1 Updates and Revisions Online course (home study) is approved for 3 Category A CEUs, Provider # P3257.
The Board of Certification (BOC) sets the standards for the practice of athletic training. BOC is the only accredited certifying body for athletic trainers in the United States.
The BOC Approved Provider program was established to provide certified athletic trainers with an extensive network of continuing education providers. GT-LLC is proud to be associated with the BOC, meet BOC standards, and more importantly, meet the standards of participating certified athletic trainers.
The Florida Board of Acupuncture has approved the M1 Updates and Revisions for 3 CEUs from 5/10/2018 through 2/29/2020.
Occupational Therapists self-submit their certificate of completion to their state. GT-LLC will provide the course outline and additional information necessary for submission to the specific state where continuing education units are required.

The M1 training is approved in FL through CE Broker. Approved in TX; RI has reciprocity approval with TX.
