I started Stretch Clinic, LLC as a result of passion. A passion for helping people achieve a better quality of life by providing a dramatic difference in the way their body moves and feels. I studied exercise science at Wake Forest University and started my career as a personal trainer in 1993. My evolution in the fitness industry has led me to not only a focus in corrective exercise and mobility, but also led me to become a licensed Massage & Neuromuscular Therapist with a specialty in Neuromuscular and Myofascial Bodywork.
I have had the opportunity to work with a diverse clientele ranging from high school, college and professional athletes, weekend warriors to corporate professionals and desk jockeys to the elderly. The common thread is that they all had myofascial restrictions and imbalances, whether from injury, surgery, over-use, lack of use, poor posture or aging. These imbalances, weaknesses, inefficiencies, tightness and “knots” are what I have dedicated my career to overcoming in order to bring balance, strength, efficient movement and restoration to my clients.
I am a proponent of constant development and learning, and in this industry that is a must as the science and what we know about the human body and how it reacts is ever evolving. I have studied everything from nutrition and the effects on the body, to all types of exercise, mobility, stretching, tools and technology that impact and apply to human movement. Trends and modalities change and advance and I bring the knowledge, skills and ability to bridge health, fitness, and self-care to improve performance and quality of life.
