GTS Certification Eligibility
To be considered eligible for the GTS credential exam, participants must first successfully complete both M1-Basic Training and M2-Advanced Training*, and own or have access (through their employer) to Graston instruments. The clinician must then successfully pass the GTS credential exam**.

GTS Certification Examination
The GTS credential exam will be conducted online via the Graston Technique Online Learning Portal. 20 questions will be randomly selected from a pool of 40 questions related to Graston Technique therapy application and research. A score of 80% or higher is required to successfully pass the credential exam. The exam is untimed and participants will be limited to three attempts. An attempt will be counted every time the exam is started. Please make sure there is adequate time to complete the exam before starting as there is no resume feature.
* Must first complete 3-hr M1 online review course if M1 training date was prior to Jan 1, 2015 (the training fee associated with the M1 review course will be waived when purchased with an M2-Advanced Training)

In 2017 Graston Technique, LLC administered the industry’s first IASTM specialist certification examination. Currently, Graston Technique, LLC has certified over 1,000 Graston Technique Specialist (GTS).

How long is the GTS credential valid?
The GTS credential is valid for two years from the last credentialing date.
How do I renew my GTS credential?
You will receive a reminder before your GTS credential expires (every 2 years), notifying you of the expiration date and providing the opportunity to retake the latest version of the M2 Updates & Revisions online course, and the GTS credential exam.
What if I don’t pass the exam?
All participants of the GTS exam will receive three attempts to pass the exam. In the event that participants do not pass during their initial three attempts, the participant will be required to purchase and successfully complete the M2 Updates & Revisions online course ($59) to receive a fourth and final attempt. Should the participant not pass the exam on the final attempt, the participant will need to wait a minimum of 30 days before restarting the procedure by repurchasing the GTS exam.
