Justine DeLuccio, PT

Justine DeLuccio PT, MS, OCS, FAAOMPT, SFMA1, CKTP, GTS is a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy and a manual therapy fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists. Ms. DeLuccio has had faculty appointments at Rutgers University (formerly The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey) Graduate Program in Physical, Long Island University and has been a guest lecturer at Seton Hall University, Dominican College and others. She has given a variety of invited lectures to interdisciplinary audiences, dancers, athletes and the public. Ms. DeLuccio has lectured in the APTAnj sponsored Educational Series, presented a Poster at the APTA Combined Sections Meeting in 2002, and a Research Platform Presentation at the APTA Annual Conference, 1993. Publications include Misegades J, Rasimowicz M, Cabrera J, Vaccaro K, Kenar T, DeLuccio J, Stapleton D. Functional movement and dynamic balance in entry level university dancers. Int J Sports Phys Ther. 2020 Aug;15(4):548-556 and an article in OPTP 18;3:06: Instrument Assisted STM Utilizing Graston Technique®: A Physical Therapist’s Perspective. Additionally she has provided guest interview commentaries for professional and public magazines, newspapers and newsletters. She holds various movement and assessment based certifications through Functional Movement Systems and the Gray Institute and practices using the SFMA and MovNat principles. In addition to using movement based applications to treat the neuromyofascial system she uses connective tissue manual therapies including Dry Needling, Myofascial Decompression (MFD) and Graston Technique® Therapy. She has been a Graston Technique® instructor since 2005 with contributions to curriculum development, including M2 stroke development. Ms. DeLuccio received an Associate Degree in Physical Therapy from The Pennsylvania State University in 1984, a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Long Island University in 1992 and was awarded the prestigious Mary McMillan Scholarship, a national award given by the American Physical Therapy Association. With the objective of highlighting prevention, Ms. DeLuccio has also developed and executed injury prevention programs in house for dancers and collegiate sports teams at Rider University, The College of New Jersey, and for the South Carolina Summer Dance Conservatory affiliated with the University of South Carolina’s Department of Dance. She has travelled with the Princeton University Women’s Lacrosse team. She is co-founder of the Dance Performance and Injury Prevention project with Princeton Dance and Theatre (PDT) Director, Talin Kenar. Ms. DeLuccio joined the PDT faculty as a conditioning coach and advising physical therapist dedicated to educating and supporting PDT dancers in gaining the knowledge, strength, good habits, and durability to excel in their dance training. To support her vision of professional autonomy Justine opened Movement Logic orthopaedic manual & sports physical therapy P.A. in Lambertville, NJ in 2009. As the sole owner and practitioner in this cash practice she treats individuals in all levels of life, competition and performance. She brings a skill set that includes a holistic, multimodal and eclectic movement based approach based on best evidence emphasizing manual therapy and individualized exercise prescription to restore authentic movement capacity throughout the neuromyofascial system so her patients can participate in all levels of life, work, sport and performance in a context driven environment.
