Graston Technique®
Advanced Live In-Person Training
Overview
Advanced Training highlights the Graston Technique® therapy examination and treatment approach for musculoskeletal dysfunction and mechanical pain that can be applied in all patient cases. This includes movement loss, lesion localization, and resistive testing. Preventative and corrective exercises to augment the GT therapy intervention will be discussed. In addition, we will introduce five new advanced treatment strokes.
Ready for the GTS Credential Exam?
The Graston Technique® Specialist (GTS) certification is a professional credential that signifies advanced proficiency in the Graston Technique®. This certification is designed for clinicians who seek to deepen their expertise in effective soft tissue techniques and enhance their treatment outcomes.
Essential Hybrid Training
Graston Technique (GT) therapy is an advanced form of instrument-assisted, soft tissue mobilization, which incorporates the use of six specially designed stainless steel instruments. GT therapy enables clinicians to effectively treat the adverse effects of scar tissue and fascial restrictions as well as improve and maintain optimal range of motion. The purpose of this basic training is to introduce students and clinicians to GT therapy, its clinical applications, physiological effects/benefits, and potential contraindication.
Essential Training Package: $2545 $2545
Student Essential Training Package: $2375 $2375
By the end of the training, you will be able to:
Identify 3 key features of the myofascial system that would benefit from a 3-dimensional treatment approach
Demonstrate 7 functional movement patterns into an orthopedic assessment
Identify the indications and contraindications of Graston Technique® therapy
Demonstrate 3 IASTM treatment interventions into a plan of care for a patient with a tendinosis
Demonstrate 3 IASTM treatment interventions into a plan of care for a patient with a mobility deficit
Design a treatment program utilizing 3 different movement patterns during an IASTM treatment for a patient with a motor control deficit
