Hour 0 – 2.5
Participants will identify & discuss the effects, benefits, physiological responses, indications & contraindications for the Graston Technique.

- Welcome and Introduction to Graston Technique
- History, physiological rationale of IASTM, principles relating to soft tissue dysfunction
- Clinical Foundations to GT
- Effects of GT on the fascial system
- Indications & Contraindications
- Anticipated responses and results from using GT instruments on soft-tissue conditions
Hour 2.5 – 4
Participants will observe & then demonstrate proper handholds and treatment strokes using GT instruments.

- Introduction to the six GT stainless steel instruments
- Description of each instrument
- Proper handholds and treatment strokes
- Lab instruction in Scanning, Sweeping, Strumming, Brushing, Swiveling, Scooping, J-strokes, and Framing on anterior thigh
- How to make a soft-tissue assessment using instruments
Hour 4 – 4.5
Participants will select proper instruments and perform GT techniques (Scan, Sweep, Strum, Swivel, Scoop, Frame, Brush and J-stroke) on knee and thigh.
Thigh and Knee Labs:

- Scan, sweep, strum, frame and j-stroke the thigh and knee
- Detect soft-tissue adhesions in these areas
- Discuss proper instrument choice
- Perform treatment protocol
Hour 4.5 – 5
Participants will select proper instruments and perform GT techniques (Scan, Sweep, Strum, Swivel, Scoop, Frame, Brush and J-stroke) on pelvic region.
Hip, pelvis, and ITB Labs:

- Scan, Sweep, Strum, Frame and J-stroke the pelvic region
- Detect soft-tissue adhesions in these areas
- Discuss proper instrument choice

Hour 5 – 5.5
Participants will select proper instruments and perform techniques on foot and ankle.
Foot and Ankle Labs:

Hour 5.5 – 5.75
Participants will discuss & observe techniques and treatment protocols on edema and scars.

Participants will identify & discuss concepts of clinical practice integration, updated GT research, documentation & billing concerns.

Participants will assess, and then based upon findings, select proper instruments and perform techniques on hand, forearm, and elbow.
Hand, Forearm, Elbow Labs:

- Detect soft-tissue adhesions in these areas
- Discuss proper instrument choice
- Perform treatment protocol based upon findings
Hour 7.75 – 8.25
Participants will assess, and then based upon findings, select proper instruments and perform techniques on the shoulder.
Shoulder Labs:

- Scan, Sweep, Strum, and J-stroke on the shoulder
- Detect soft-tissue adhesions in these areas
- Discuss proper instrument choice
- Perform treatment protocol based upon findings
Hour 8.25 – 9
Participants will assess, and then based upon findings, select proper instruments and perform techniques on the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spines.
Cervical, Thoracic, and Lumbar Labs:

- Scan, Sweep, Strum, and J-stroke on the cervical, thoracic spines
- Detect soft-tissue adhesions in these areas
- Discuss proper instrument choice
- Perform treatment protocol based upon findings
