Born and raised in a small town, Dr. Sara Cuperus knew in sixth grade that she wanted to be a doctor…she just didn’t think it was to be a Doctor of Chiropractic. She attended the University of Minnesota, Duluth, completing her Bachelor’s in Exercise Science. This sparked an interest in sports medicine and Athletic Training. She then went on to Northwestern Health Science University and earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree. Her commitment to excellence and relentless pursuit of knowledge earned her the respect of peers and professors.
Armed with a strong foundation in chiropractic theory and practice, Dr. Sara set out to make a meaningful difference in the lives of her patients, establishing Chiropractic Performance Center upon her graduation. She has continued to pursue specialties in Sports Chiropractic, nationally and internationally, as well as Pediatric and Prenatal Chiropractic Care. Additionally, she gives back to the profession, having served as the Minnesota Chiropractic Association’s President and the Education Committee Chair.
As a chiropractor, Dr. Sara employs a personalized and integrative approach to treatment, combining hands-on adjustments with soft tissue work, therapies like dry needling and rehabilitative exercises, and lifestyle modifications. Her genuine warmth, empathy, and ability to connect with people have endeared her to the community she serves. She believes in the “relationship-based practice” and loves the opportunity to know her patients honestly, helping them feel seen and heard.
