Optimizing ACL Rehab: Enhancing Outcomes with BFR Training

Clinical Focus: Optimizing ACL Rehab: Enhancing Outcomes with BFR Training

This clinical webinar explores how Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) training can be strategically integrated throughout all phases of ACL rehabilitation to enhance strength, accelerate recovery, and improve patient outcomes. Michael Racette, DPT, GTS, OMT, will review the key stages of ACL rehab and explain the physiological principles behind BFR and its role in promoting muscle strength and tissue recovery when traditional loading is limited.

Clinicians will learn how to safely apply BFR techniques in a clinical setting, compare traditional ACL rehab approaches with BFR-integrated strategies, and evaluate current research supporting its use.

By the end of the session, participants will be prepared to design an evidence-based ACL rehabilitation program incorporating BFR, including exercise selection, dosing, and outcome monitoring.

Webinar Objective

  1. Remembering:
    1. List the key stages of ACL rehabilitation and the role of Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) in each stage.
  2. Understanding:
    1. Explain the physiological principles behind Blood Flow Restriction and its impact on muscle strength and recovery in ACL rehab.
  3. Applying:
    1. Demonstrate how to apply BFR techniques in a clinical setting during various phases of ACL rehabilitation.
  4. Analyzing:
    1. Compare and contrast traditional ACL rehabilitation methods with those that incorporate BFR, highlighting the advantages and potential limitations of each.
  5. Evaluating:
    1. Assess the effectiveness of BFR in improving rehabilitation outcomes for ACL patients based on current research and clinical case studies.
  6. Creating:

About Event

Who Should Attend?  This webinar is perfect for:

N

Physical Therapists
Enhance ACL rehabilitation outcomes by integrating Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) training across all phases of recovery. This advanced webinar will guide Physical Therapists through the key stages of ACL rehab and explain the physiological principles behind BFR to safely improve muscle strength, reduce joint stress, and accelerate recovery. Learn how to apply BFR clinically, evaluate current research, and design evidence-based ACL rehabilitation programs that optimize functional outcomes and return-to-activity timelines.

N

Chiropractors
Expand your rehabilitation toolbox by incorporating Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) training into ACL recovery programs. This webinar explores how BFR can complement traditional rehab strategies by enhancing muscle activation and strength with lower loads. Chiropractors will learn how to apply BFR techniques during various stages of ACL rehabilitation, assess clinical effectiveness, and integrate evidence-based protocols to support improved function, recovery, and long-term joint health.

N

Athletic Trainers
Optimize ACL rehabilitation and return-to-play outcomes with strategic use of Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) training. This session will break down how BFR can be applied during different phases of ACL rehab to promote strength gains, preserve muscle mass, and support safe progression back to sport. Athletic Trainers will compare traditional rehab methods with BFR-integrated approaches and gain practical strategies for exercise selection, progression, and outcome monitoring.

N

Students & New Grads
Build confidence in ACL rehabilitation by learning how Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) training enhances recovery and strength development. This webinar introduces the key stages of ACL rehab, the science behind BFR, and how to apply it safely in a clinical setting. Students and new graduates will gain a clear framework for evaluating research, understanding clinical decision-making, and designing comprehensive, evidence-based ACL rehab programs that improve patient outcomes.
